What was announced in 2025
In spring 2025, the U.S. government announced a potential increase in tariffs on European imports of up to 50%. Because DoorBird hardware is manufactured in Germany, the proposal applied directly to the IP video intercoms and access control devices we sell.
The increase was postponed until July 9, 2025. Through that window we held our existing prices, and orders already placed were never repriced retroactively.
Where pricing stands today
Import costs are now built into the prices you see on our product pages. When you order from DB Store USA:
- The listed price includes applicable duties and U.S. import tariffs.
- There are no customs charges or brokerage fees waiting for you on delivery.
- Sales tax is calculated at checkout, and shipping is billed separately.
In short, there is no surprise invoice from the carrier after your intercom arrives.
