Buildings with 9–12 Units
Door stations for mid-size apartment buildings and condo associations with nine to twelve residences — the range where replacing a failing analog intercom usually means either rewiring the building or moving to IP. These panels do the second, using the existing network drop and PoE rather than new riser cable, which is what makes the work possible in an occupied building.
This is also the point where a board or property manager typically wants the job done without construction inside the building envelope. A surface-mount panel goes onto the existing entry wall in a day; a flush-mount one needs a cavity and belongs in a planned renovation.
