Surface-mount
Door stations, access control devices and housings that fasten flat against a finished wall — no cutting, no cavity, no patching afterward. This is the practical route for retrofits into brick, stone or concrete entries, for replacing an aging analog panel in an occupied building, and for any job where opening the wall is not on the table. Installation is typically a single trip rather than a coordinated trade sequence.
If the entry is being built or gut-renovated and a cavity can be set during rough-in, the flush-mount range gives a cleaner finished result.
